what are the differences(not in appearance) in Dumbo Rats and Fancy Rats. l think Dumbo Rats are so adorable, but are they less smart than the Fancies? what are the differences between those 2 in personality, trainability, etc......?

''Fancy Rat'' is just a term that means that they are bred to be pets. There are different looks, hooded, rex, dumbo, russian blues, hairless. they are all equally adorable and sweet and their colors and features have nothing to do with their personalities as far as I can tell. They are all very smart and my non-dumbos would be very offended at being called dull!

I've had 3 dumbo rats and 3 fancy's. I was more fond of the dumbo is really though.
The difference between the two rats are the ears. You will find that in a dumbo rat, the ears are more circular, where with a fancy they're triangular.
personality wise, i liked the dumbo's. i thought the fancy rats where a bit dull in brains. like i said. i fancied the dumbos.

dumbo rats are just as smart as other breeds.the only difference is the way they look.i have always had dumbos or hairless rats and they are all very smart and sweet

I am pretty sure a Dumbo is a breed of Fancy Rat like ''Hooded ''Fancy Rat'' may just be an umbrella term.
